Nokia Announces New Supernova Range of Phones

Today Nokia uncovered four new handsets that make up a new range of devices with exchangeable exteriors and bright colors. All four run the Series 40 platform and have Bluetooth 2.0.

  • 7610: This slider, just cleared by the FCC yesterday, has quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, TV out and FM radio. It captures video at VGA resolution at 15 frames per second. It will come with two different covers in the box, as well as a 512MB microSD card. It will support cards up to 2GB. It will also detect colors and allow you to set the wallpaper and D-pad illumination colors. It will will be available in the third quarter and cost $355.
  • 7510: This clamshell has a push-to-open design and also has quad-band GSM/EDGE and FM radios, but dials down the camera to 2 megapixels with LED flash. It also comes with two different colors and a 512MB microSD card, but will support cards up to 8GB in size. The front has a hidden display. It will be available in the third quarter for $285.
  • 7310: This monoblock phone has quad-band GSM/EDGE and FM radios, and a 2 megapixel camera. Its 2.5mm headset jack supports TV out functionality, and it has a microSD slot that supports cards up to 4GB in size. It will be available in the second quarter for $245.
  • 7210: This 900/1800/1900 tri-band monoblock phone has a QVGA display and also has a 2 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, and an FM radio. Its microSD slot will support cards up to 2GB. It will be available in the third quarter for $190.
