Nokia
has made its Files on Ovi service available in beta form. The service
allows users to access files on their home computer from any device
connected to the internet, including mobile phones. The service
requires users to download software to their PC. With the software
installed, you can view files and folders on the PC through the Ovi web
site. You can also preview files, download them, and upload them from
mobile phones. The service also allows for access to certain files when
the host PC is switched off. These "anytime" files must be uploaded to
Ovi's servers, and a basic account comes with 10GB of available storage.
